#MarchOfRobots: #BoredBot
The concept of #BoredBot came about as I was looking for a less cluttered and cleaner way to doodle robots for March Of Robots, and perhaps this was also influenced somewhat by my viewing of CHAPPiE (which perhaps impacted as much as inspiring a character of a simpleton-robot LOL).
I had wanted to portray an innocuous robot-entity who does things which does not turn out the way they should, and perhaps he seemed "down on his luck", and that his day is "boring" in the regular sense, and in Singlish, a notion of "bad luck" and how you feel towards what was happening (ie: "Oh this is boring, can?"). I had also specifically wanted a notion of an "under-achieving" robot :)
"Logic" is not the only determining thing in life - natural, artificial, or otherwise…
The result are these 6 x images … and perhaps I'd revisit him soon, as I have sorta grown to liking him :)
